What is Face Swap Technology?
Face swapping is an artificial intelligence technology that replaces a person's face with another face or character in real time. Today, this technology is used in many fields, from entertainment applications to corporate events, film production to education.
The Science Behind the Technology
Deep Learning and CNNs
Face swap systems fundamentally use Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). These networks are trained on millions of face images to learn the anatomy of the face — eye position, jaw structure, nose shape. When a face is detected, the model adapts these anatomical points to the target face.
GAN (Generative Adversarial Networks)
GAN architecture is used to produce realistic results. Two neural networks work against each other: one generates fake images while the other tries to distinguish whether they are real or fake. This competition eventually produces extremely realistic results.
MetasoftCo's Face Swap Solution
The AI face swap system developed by MetasoftCo is optimized for event environment conditions (variable lighting, crowded environments, speed requirements). The system can be deployed as a tablet, large screen kiosk, or web-based application.
